From Ashes to the Empty Tomb

Calling all fans and readers of the New American Standard Bible (along with anyone interested in experiencing a Bible translation they may not be as familiar with)!

Bible Gateway’s free Scripture reading plan—with passages drawn from the New American Standard Bible (NASB). It’s a journey through the Lenten season, starting on Ash Wednesday (February 17th) and culminating on Resurrection Sunday (April 4th). Sign up here!

It’s the perfect way to make sure you and your friends keep reading the Word of God in the midst of all the distractions that are put in our way these days. As a Bible reading plan, there are no bells and whistles, no extraneous material—only a daily selection of Bible passages intended to keep your mind and heart on God throughout the Easter season.

As it says in Deuteronomy 11:18:

“You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead.

If you’re curious, here is a brief note on the New American Standard Bible translation and what sets it apart from other translations:

…the NASB has sought to render grammar and terminology in contemporary English. Special attention has been given to the rendering of verb tenses to give the English reader a rendering as close as possible to the sense of the original Greek and Hebrew texts.

We hope you’ll join us as we take this Scripture-reading journey and look forward to celebrating the joy of Easter. Sign up here to From Ashes to the Empty Tomb: A Journey Through Scripture.
