One of the joys in reading the Bible is being inspired and motivated by the determined resolve of its people when they declare and decree their firmest belief in the sovereignty, majesty, and goodness of God, such as
- “Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom” (Psalm 145:3)
- “…choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD (Joshua 24:15)
- “The heavens declare the glory of God; the sky displays his handiwork (Psalm 19:1) and
- Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy….For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation (Psalm 100:2, 5).
